Miss U Mate...

Brave, tough, courageous, fearless, caring and loving – a few words that best describe a guy who often risked his life to rescue the four legged animals, the sharks, crocodiles, reptiles, the birds and every mute animal you can think of.

Steve Irwin – the crocodile hunter as he was popularly known wasn’t a hunter in the real life. Known for his daredevil stunts to rescue his friends in distress, it’s a pity that he passed away while filming one of those underwater films.

I still vividly remember, the first time I saw Steve on Animal Planet on his TV program, the Crocodile Hunter. I was quite amazed the way he handled snakes and other reptiles. “Isn’t she beautiful???” was one of his favorite dialogues whenever he came in contact with his wild animal friends.

He made me see animals and reptiles in a totally different perspective. His love for animals was legendary, handed over to him by his parents and in turn he has handed it over to his 2 kids and American wife Terri.

Though there is a lot to write about this man, my words won't do justice to the work he did. He was a crusader who took up their cause against their unnatural predators – HUMANS. Its still sad that people are ignorant of the great work he did.

Miss U Mate… Thanks for all that you did for the Animal Kingdom!!!

Daredevil is probably the right word to decribe Steve Irwin. Whenever I watched Crocodile Hunters, I kept wondering how could he simply hang around with those nasty reptiles without being eaten up! He was a brave man..

I will miss him and his adventures with the crocs!

I donno why, but sometimes i feel we give more emphasis to animals than humans. Where are these crusaders when humans are treated badly. Steve Irwin was brave no doubt, but i feel he risked his life many times, and had to pay for it.

To Cedric...

Dude... Animals are simply mute living beings who cant speak for their rights... They don't invade into the human territory unless human compels it too...

There has been a recent death of Roopkali, the elephant, due to the negligance of its mahout and the truck driver.... Just because the por thing cannot speak it doesnt mean.. we should ill treat them...

I am sorry denzil, but in 2days world when human beings have no rights as such, it makes no sense talking of animal rights.

People like Maneka Gandhi talk abt animal rights , but where r these people when humans travel in trains which are worse than any animals put in a cage. Illtreating humans is important or ill treating animals.

Reading about that elephants death in the newspapers was bad. But do u expect the offender to be punished, when we have so many accidents happening daily, and offenders getting out without any damage.

It doesnt look good advocating animal rights, that too when i am a non veg. 2row someone might tell me you eat chicken, have u seen the way it is butchered at the poultry shop.

I feel only once when humans respect and care for each other, will the question of animals safety and rights be important. Till then it looks good on your blog and in some people views that include maneka gandhi.

*sigh* i watched his wife's interview. Though in the same profession...she now regrets that she never asked him to stop. His daughter sounds as daring as him :) ...

May his soul rest in peace...

Yep... Devilish Angel... Though you lose your loved one doing something which they liked which made the world a good place to live in.... You take efforts to continue their hard word so that their soul rests in peace...

Aur kya be Tarun... This is a blog to express your views... not a battle ground or court kacheri ka scene...
